Job Description:

Manufacturers' Representative Outside Salesperson for Davidson Sales Company, Inc. calling on power generation, industrial engine, engine driven OEM, contractors, and consulting engineers in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, West Virginia, Kentucky & Western Pennsylvania. Maintaining and expanding our sales and customer base within the territory. The principle product lines include: generator ends, automatic transfer switches & paralleling switchgear, industrial radiators, industrial battery chargers, load banks, industrial exhaust components, thermal protection products, generator day tanks and fuel transfer systems, engine & equipment isolation mounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Learning our product lines and representing them in a technical sales capacity
  • Meeting and maintaining contact with existing customers
  • Promote, educate and assist customers and potential customers on the products we represent
  • Research, evaluate and develop potential customers and opportunities into new business
  • Markets include power generation, WWTP, hospitals, data centers, and contractors
  • Respond and follow-up with factory and internal leads
  • Identify, report and provide feedback on lost opportunities & competitive products
  • Prepare and submit sales and expense reports
  • Periodically travel with factory sales & engineering personnel to support and promote a given product line or to introduce a new product
  • Periodically attend tradeshows and industry conventions
  • Periodically attend factory training and meetings at the factory, our corporate office and online

Requirements:

  • Reside within territory
  • Technical sales experience in the power generation and or industrial engine market
  • Ability to work remotely and travel within the territory on a weekly basis
  • Strong communication, networking and interpersonal skills
  • College degree or equivalent experience
